Aug 18 2007 - Like Hundred of thousand of Somalilanders I am patriotic and died hard Somalilander, I think a true Somalilanders wouldn’t berate to all of those hundreds of thousands Somalilanders who died, wounded, widowed and orphaned for a just society, by continuously fighting for what they died for, not only by the barrel of the gun but by other peaceful means, so those who died for a just society won’t be a waste of lives.
For obvious reasons I follow news from home, regularly browsing on all Somaliland news, internet webpage and other news outlet for news at home, especially to see where the Somaliland media and news outlet stand on issue of Somaliland sovereignty, democracy and justice.
Awdalnews Network become one of regular concerned to me as it often coverage events in Somalia rather then covering issues that are mostly concerns to all Somalilanders inside and outside the country
Take what is been happening in Somaliland in the recent years, month and weeks and issues that are hotly debated inside and outside the country. As excepted a family with a newborn baby would concentrate to its up bringing and in particular pay attention to when their baby starts to learn crawling, standing and walking up, as in the case of Somaliland, Awdalnews whose supposed to be one of the many farther and mother/s of Somaliland choose its concentration and up bringing to one of the Somaliland Swarmed enemy “Somalia”.
What does that mean? Does that mean I quote the Famous Somali Proverb which says “Lugna Faras Ugu Joog Lugna Baqo Ugu Joog”. Why Awdalnews Network doesn’t take in part for the upbringing of our baby (Somaliland. Why it doesn’t cover what is happening in our country. Why it doesn’t make its position clear to Somaliland people for the government injustice, corruption, deterioration of democracy, peace, the unlawful arrest of QARAN leadership, the issue of electoral commission, the complete deadlock between the Government and Golaha Wakiilada and the lack of impartiality of Golaha Guurtida. Does the Awdalnews Network ever take the stage and said Mr: President what your Government is doing is not what you are elected for as simple as that. Do Awdalnews think being silent for what is happening in our country is the interest of the country and its people?. Will Awdalnews network do the same coverage, If Mr: Riyaale is not the president or what sort news it would report there and then? it bustles me. To be Frank, We the Somali society are clan based society and that will take years to eradicate, to become a society that based on justice without influence of clan or greedy etc. However, its upto those of us who are in position of authority, influence, Religious, Educated and News network to educate the masses for a just society and national cause and to think and act an irrational way.
From its Highly rated influential position, in terms of Somaliland cultural politics and its current record, the Awdalnews is failing its responsibilities, duties and isn’t serving for a just society and democracy, if anything it promoting and/or serving a clan base society. It searchers what used to be Somalia. It wants to resurrect a dead body, which in human terms and ability is impossible. Nevertheless, I am not saying that the Awdalnews Network is the only Somaliland News Networks that are not patriotic, clan based News outlet or self serving interest or not honest about Somaliland government injustice, Dictatorship and sovereignty, but its one of the most explicit one.
There Is an English Proverb that says “Charity Begin At Home”. In Somali Version it says “Nin_kii Tii_saba Daryeelaa Tu_kale Ku_dara”.
From Quraanic and Axaadiis it says that ‘everyone is Accountable for His Action’. In the Qaraan it particularly emphasised that the Leader/s authority and those in the position of influent have particular responsibility in the society and/or UMMAH>.
In the Quraan and Axaadiis it also says “ if you witness Sin or injustice take an action by saying so, if that does not change anything, then take an action by hand, if that is impossible then immigrate to some where else, if you can’t then hate it inside your hear”, According to the above Quraanic and Axaadiis phrases Awdalnews Network is at the first stage, just To Say Laud and clear That The Government Of Somaliland is Committing A grave Injustice against its people and turning away from democratically elected Government to a dictatorship and is not Serving for the National Interest.
My Conclusion and Advice to Awdalnews Network this Xadiis from Prophet SCWS says that; “Walaalkaa U_Hiili Markastaba, Macnaheeduna yahay Marka La_dulmiyayana Xaqiisa U_Raadi, Marka Uu Wax_Dulmiyayana Runta U_Sheeg OO Ku Dheh Dulmiga Ama Xaqdarada Jooji!”. Therefore, you the Awdalnews Network should tell the “President and other dying hard clannish, that you are always published their clannish opinion and articles on your news webpages by sampling saying loudly and clearly that The President is wrong this and that.
Same goes to all Somaliland news networks, Intellectuals and those on influential position let us build a just society.
