Mar 05 2002 BBC Monitoring Service - The Italian envoy in charge of Somalia affairs, Carlo Angro accompanied by an Italian diplomat, arrived in Hargeysa today. Translate (for Somali articles no translation available, sorry!)

Briefing journalists, Mr Carlo said he was on a fact-finding mission, adding that he will hold talks with the government. He said he wanted to learn more about Somaliland with a view to strengthening bilateral relations.

The delegation was received at the airport by the state minister of foreign relations, Hon Kasim Shaykh Yusuf Ibrahim.
