The new Somaliland Representative to Sweden, Mudane Eidarus Sheikh Aden presented his credentials to the Swedish Foreign Ministry in Stockholm.
Accompanying the Somaliland Representative in presenting his credentials were the Speaker of the Somaliland House of Representative, Mudane Abdirahman M Abdillahi, the chairperson of the UCID party, Mudane Faisal Ali Warabe, Representative Mudane Mohamed Ali Hersi from the Kulmiye party, and the chairperson of the Somaliland Community in Sweden, Zakaria Hassan Weis.
Mudane Eidarus Sheikh Aden stated that he will endeavour to strength the relationship between Somaliland and Sweden, in terms economic, cultural and international aid.
Mudane Eidarus Sheikh thanked the Swedish government for its support of Somaliland's development towards to democracy and economic viability, and hoped that this support will be taken to higher level of co-operation in the near future.
Receiving these letters on behalf of the Swedish Foreign Office were Ambassadors Marika Fahlen and Maria Leissner, who stated their intention in working with the new Somaliland Representative and the people of Somaliland.
Mudane Eidarus Sheikh Aden received many messages of congratulations on his new appointment as Somaliland's Representative to Sweden, including one form Swedish member of parliament, Ms. Brigata Olson.
